The AgrAbility Virginia Network (AVN) is designed to enhance communication among the group of stakeholders across the state who support, advise, and engage with the AgrAbility Virginia program.

This Network includes AgrAbility Virginia organizational stakeholders who are providing technical assistance, support services, education, and advocacy on the issues of safety, wellness, and accessibility in agricultural communities. This may include such groups and organizations as:

  • Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS)
  • Virginia Centers for Independent Living
  • Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS)
  • Virginia Farm Bureau
  • Virginia Arthritis and Falls Prevention Coalition
  • Virginia Rural Health Association
  • Mary Baldwin University Murphy Deming School of Health Sciences
  • Virginia Cooperative Extension
  • Easterseals UCP
  • Virginia Tech
  • Virginia State University
  • The AgrAbility Virginia Advisory Group

 

The Network communicates via a moderated listserv to discuss outreach strategies, assistive technologies, support services, educational programming, and opportunities for collaboration.
