Raymond suffered a spinal cord injury in 1996 resulting in paralysis from the waist down and he was unable to return to work as a mechanic. After raising meat goats for personal consumption for many years, he decided to expand his operation into a business. The Department of Aging and Rehabilitation Services referred him to AgrAbility Virginia for organizing support on his business plan and identifying funding for a mobility aid.
